Anu

>Album welcomes you on set
Thank you...
>Can you introduce yourself, who you are and background?
My name is Anuoluwapo Oyeneyin Osilesi, a native of the great nation of Nigeria. I am a sensational Gospel recording Artist.
>How did you get into music Anu?
It all started when I was 6yrs old at C A C- Christ Apostolic Church, Ikosi, Ketu, Lagos; I was given an opportunity to perform in the church back home in Nigeria– thanks to the Choir Director because the encounter I had at that age increases my love for music, and that is where my journey started from. The journey continues by me joining several choirs, which includes high school, college and also churches. I am currently with the “New Direction Choir” of the Redeemed Christian church of God Victory Temple Laurel, Maryland USA.
>What is your beginning like?
It was very interesting, especially the learning period. I learnt more about music and also writing skills, it was not very easy but with God on my side and a lot of determination, I was able to grow in it.
>We understand you are also a song writer-----
Yes sir.
>How did you get your inspiration to write or what gives you inspiration?
First of all my inspiration comes from God, and also i have a passion to encourage people, but overall It speaks about God’s kindness, his faithfulness to believers, his grace upon the earth and overall his unconditional love.
>That is a lovely one. So how many albums do you have to your credit?
Am almost done with my album, but I have couple of singles out there in my credit and also Music videos.
>Do you own your record label?
Not yet, but am looking forward to one by the special grace of God. It’s in process.

How would you rate the acceptance of your music by people?
In fact I have been so dumbfounded, because people truly encourage me more to continue by the amount of acceptance I received. I have received so many emails about how my songs bring life to their heart, and bless them. Overall it is very good.
>That is a wonderful testimony. Do you have any challenge that makes you to think twice if music is actually your calling or is there any challenge you face in your music career?
Of course, in the past I was working with other artist to form a gospel group, I almost lost faith because it didn’t come to fruition, but actually it was a revelation from God to become a solo artist.
>How can you compare gospel music in America to that of Nigeria?
Market wise is different, but in Nigeria is more welcoming because is a very religious country and a lot of people depend on God. In America is totally different.
How many awards have you received?
Just one for now, it is called the Esther Award here in Michigan; but i got nomination for Nigeria Gospel music Award 2012 and Crystal Gospel Music Award 2013 for Best female Artist in Diaspora.
>How greatly have you been motivated by the Esther award you received?
Greatly motivated, it gives strength especially when my first single "YOU ARE GOD" is the reason why I was nominated.
>Do you have any mentor?
Cece Winans is one of the musical influences I look up to, she serves as the mother in music to me, including people that have played a role as I grow musically over the past years. People like Bishop the music director from Temple of Praise, Philip George from RCCG Victory Temple, Laurel who is currently my Music Director, and my Music Mentor Pastor Wayne Michael Wilson of In One Ministries, which is also my music producer.
>To someone who is not a music freak and decides to just give your songs a trial what strength is he/she likely to pull back with?
My music is inspirational, uplifting, and soulful. It contains new generation mix with creativity.
Where do you see yourself in the nearest future?
Hope to see an expansion in my Ministry and by the special grace of God have my Gospel record label.
>Do you have any other thing you do apart from music?
Yes, I am a wife, and also work in my professional field.
>What is your advice to this generation?
When God bless u with a gift or dream please don't seat on it. When it looks like the journey is impossible or hard to take, always remember that God will never give you a task that is bigger than you. Close your eyes and put all your trust in him and watch him surprise you.
Watch him surprise you- that is a good one.
>So finally how do you relax?
I need my sleep, it is very important, and also I Love to watch movies a lot.
It's really a wonderful time with you; sure your fans will have more to know about you and appreciate you.
Album crew wishes you all the best in your career and your family.
Thank you so much...God blesses u and Album.
