Q: Who is Wunmi Ariyiike dimples owolagba?
Wunmi Ariyiike Dimples Owolagba is a young
actor, TV presenter; singer and content producer that love to connect with her
audience more than anything else. Growing up in a Christian household, I am the
third (3rd) of four (4) children and the only girl. I hail from
Kabba l.G.A in Kogi state even though I don’t know much about the culture, so I
consider myself a Lagosian...Lol.
Q: Surely the name dimples is because of your Cheek?
Sure, it is.
Q: Is the nick name from you or someone gave it to you; and can
you say it has given you any lucky identity?
Well, I don’t know about lucky, but I think it makes me stand
out in my industry- it’s a feature people describe me with.Yes, a friend stamp
the name on me, he just looked at me one time and said: “Ariyiike you know one
can actually keep things in your dimples, mhen! They are so deep! I think I’ll
just call you “dimples”. I liked it and at the time, I was working on a brand
name for myself so I decided to stick with “Ariyiikedimples”
Q: You are all these: Actor, Singer, Presenter, Content
Producer, Social media manager! Incredible. Tell us about all these
profession in you.
I believe we can be several things at once. Take my mum for
example, she is a wife, a mother, a civil servant and she still runs several
small businesses at the same time. If you pay attention to everything I am
interested in- you will notice they are all rooted in media content. My core
strength is in creating engaging content and my God given talent is Singing and
Acting. I just use technology to serve it to my audience.
Q: Which one of this profession has brought you fame and wealth?
Obviously being a TV presenter and an actor puts me in the faces
of more people, so people get to see and know me but in terms of financial
reward, being a social media manager puts more money in my bank account as of
now.
Q: Which one have you put in so much and you are yet to see a
great deal of result?
Acting is the most demanding so far and the truth is as an
upcoming actor, for every ten reading or audition you go for, you might end up
getting four projects to work on, if you’re lucky.
Q: What has been your major challenge in your career?
My major challenge in my career is fighting the stereotypes that
come with being a woman in the media industry or just being a woman in general.
People assume because you are attractive, you must get everything handed to you
on a platter of gold. I work really hard to achieve everything I am and want to
become.
Q: Have you won any award?
No, I haven’t.
Q: Do you have any project you are working on?
Yes, I am working on putting out some of my work, so I’m
presently working on producing my TV show as well as a Webisode.
Q: How would you describe the way people rate you in your
career?
I am not particularly concerned about ratings at this point in
my career; I am more interested in building a solid brand that can be exported
internationally. As long as my audience enjoys hearing my voice and seeing my
face, I am fulfilled.
Q: Apart from your smiles, what do you think people find
interesting about you?
My sense of humor. I might not come across as such but when
people get to know me, they find out that I joke around a lot; so people always
find that quite interesting.
Q: What do you enjoy doing the most when you want to relax?
I honestly don’t know the one I enjoy the most, but I enjoy
doing any of these three things when I want to relax:
I enjoy sleeping, Omg! I can sleep for Africa..lol OR
listening to music, music takes me to a place where I get to breathe, think and
love freely, most especially folksongs and soul music OR watching TV shows and
movies online.
Q: Do you have anything to tell your fans or clients?

To my clients, thank you for putting your trust in me, I promise
not to let you down and most importantly, please keep putting money in my bank
account; it keeps me alive…lol
THANK YOU
