Ban meet protest in Lagos

It was not a joke as the Riders of Max and Gokada riders have protested the ban on operation of commercial motorcycles in 15 local government areas of Lagos as imposed by the Lagos State government led by Babajide Sanwo-Olu. 

The ban which takes effect from February 1, 2020 has dissatisfied the popularly called branded Okada riders who see it as a mean of killing their means of living.

The Protest which attracts hundreds of riders, kick off their protest from Kudirat Abiola way, Oregun down to Aluasa secretariat.

Despite the protest, the Lagos State commissioner of transport, Dr. Frederick Olaseinde has made it clear that a reversal is impossible because the government is going back to the Lagos master plan and motorcycles and tricycles are not part of that plan.
