PEP loose Mum to Coronavirus

Pep Guardiola has lost his mother, Dolors Sala Carrio,(82) in Barcelona after contracting coronavirus.

The Manchester city boss who recently donated 1m euros (£920,000) to help fight the outbreak in Spain will no doubt be devastated by this great loss.

Manchester City posted on social media: "Everyone associated with the club sends their most heartfelt sympathy at this most distressing time to Pep, his family and all their friends,"

Manchester City's close rival - United, also posted on social media "saddened to hear this terrible news", adding: "We send our heartfelt condolences to Pep and his family."

FC Barcelona, a club pep once manage also posted on Twitter: "We are deeply saddened by the loss of Dolors Sala during this difficult time, and we would like to express our most heartfelt condolences, especially to Pep Guardiola, his family and his friends."
