The President of the European Central Bank - Christine Lagarde, has sent in her congratulatory message to the new D-G of W T O, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala.
Okonjo-Iweala who shock the world with her appointment as the first female and African to be the Director-General of World Trade Organization, has gathered so much encomium since her emergence to the position.
Christine Lagarde wrote:
"Congratulations to my friend Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala on becoming the first female Director-General of the World Trade Organization. I’ve known Ngozi for many years. Her strong will and determination will drive her to tirelessly promote free trade to the benefit of people worldwide".
