There was a broad day light armed robbery attack in the city of Ibadan, Oyo State Capital on Thursday.
A bullion van transporting money to a bank at Idi-Ape in Ibadan area of Oyo state, was hijacked, forced open and money from the bullion van carted away.
The bullion van was said to have been attacked at Idi Ape junction, opposite a private school.
Police officer escorting the bullion van was attacked during the robbery, cars were forced stopped by the operation of the robbery.
The gunmen reportedly shot sporadically, scaring passersby while the operation lasted.
