Abiodun James Faleke, a member of the House of Representatives, has jump into the defence of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as against the claims of the Honorable Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, for saying Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has always been playing god.
Faleke said Aregbesola was wrong, as both himself and Aregbesola were beneficiaries to Tinubu selfless efforts.
“When many of us including and especially Hon Aregbesola and our families look back to pre-1999 and see the level we were, and how God has used this same Asiwaju’s selfless efforts, sagacity, intellect, and money to mentor and promote us, we should be eternally grateful to God instead of engaging in ego tripping!
“If for once we fail to have everything our way as before, we should be humble enough to appreciate the fact that we can’t win all the time. God will not come down physically but will use people to help us to achieve our goals and that role of destiny helper is what Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been and is still playing.
“Asiwaju has never played God, rather his actions and utterances have always been divinely ordained. The man has always been guided by the spirit of God. There are so many politicians he has mentored and supported to greatness and they will forever be grateful to him,” Faleke said.
According to Faleke, “take my humble self for instance. He did not know me from Adam. He does not know my parents. I’m from Kogi State but look at how he has picked, mentored and supported me to what I’ve become today. Can that person be accused of playing God? No! Where that is coming from is to say the least, very disappointing.
Very disappointing indeed if ogbeni Aregbesola would only look back he wouldn't become an ingrate to the finger that still feeds him till tomorrow like the Yoruba's would always say "ore tan asiwere gbagbe'may god have mercy on aregbe and he should always remember that asuwaju had to fight a lot of battles with enemies within and without just to make sure he got installed as the governor of osun state I'm sure that by the time Asiwaju is sworn as Nigeria President many of his deceitful allies would end their political Carrier by themselves and go ànd seat down jeje and be leaking their wounds.
