In his quest to be president of NIGERIA come 2023, The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) - Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has paid a special visit to The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III, to seek his support for his presidential ambition.
During his talk at the Palace, He Informed the youth to be patient for him to be the president, and after him, the youth can occupy.
Speaking in Yoruba, he said: " if the youth become president, do they want to chase the elders out of the land?” Tinubu asked.
“You too will grow old and become president, but I will become the president first.”
He told the Alaafin:
“All I came for today is to seek for your blessing, cooperation and prayers for me to become the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” Tinubu said.
The Alaafin of Oyo in his response said :
“All you the chiefs and traditional rulers, you have heard what our visitor said.
“He said our prayers are needed. All the ancestors in Yoruba land, get up and assist your son,” the Alaafin said.
The former Lagos State Governor has been travelling across the country to consult with stakeholders over his presidential ambition.
