Christmas Day, Happy Day, Church Day - Lagos based Lawyer, Bolanle Raheem and family members were said to be in the car driving when one of the officers attached to the Ajah Area of the state open fire and shot the beautiful bolanle Raheem, who was pronounced dead after being rushed to a near by hospital.
Reacting to the horrific incident, the National Publicity Secretary, NBA, Akorede Lawal, described the incident as unfortunate, adding that the president of the association, Yakubu Maikyau, was monitoring the situation.
He tweeted, “We are aware of this unfortunate incident. This is yet another crime against a lawyer. Regrettably, our member is gone. The NBA President @YCMaikyauSAN is right on this and we shall ensure that justice is duly served.”
The spokesperson of the state police command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, described the incident as unfortunate and avoidable, and stated that the officer who is an Assistant superintendent of police and two others have been arrested in connection with the incident.
