Erik ten Hag Maybe good In training & setup but poor in TACTICS

"I understand when the results are not there it is logical they are questioning that," he said.

"But I am confident I can do it. At this moment we are in a bad place and I take responsibility for it. But I am a fighter. I see it as a challenge." These were the words of Erik ten Hag after another defeat of Manchester United in the hands of Newcastle (0-3).

When ETH came to United, Manchester United needed someone to lift the life around the place. He came and in his first season, he won the EFL, which of course they lost the defense last night to the TOONS at old-Trafford.

There are now many questions than answers. ETH won in his first season, One trophy, how many did Jose won his first season? more than ETH. Only Chelsea have spent more money in transfer business than United (More than £400 million), and yet the crisis in not averting!!!.

So what is the problem and way out?

Who screened ETH and what criteria are they looking for in a united manager. They chose ETH over some other managers. They believe in his set up of players, team and work at Ajax. They believe he will bring discipline to the United team which was lacking. Did he do all that at United after appointment, YES. Except whoever screen ETH and approved his C.V failed to screen how tactical or technical he is. Jose may be a negative thinking manager, who might not give United or any team a good football to watch, but one thing you can't take away from him or pep is that both are tactical genius.

ETH could be good in discipline and drillings in training, but one thing he lack is he's not tactically good enough for a team like United. ETH would have been good as a field trainer while you have a manager who would be good in tactical position.

Is there a way out. I am afraid very little. Even if he buys more players, he still needs to integrate them. And also, I can't trust him with getting players anymore. He needs to understand that EPL is a far distance to Eredivisie where he came from. A league that Ajax can bring a youth setup with a decent manager and still perform wonders. The EPL is about fitness which ETH brings, but more importantly dynamic tactics if you are to win anything in the country. But he won the EFL last season? He won it with the best keeper in the league, he won with rashford in his best season ( who needs to be taken off completely this season for a while), he won it because he managed the players attitudes better last season than now.

The coming international break is time for ETH to have a reset, take time to learn and work mainly on tactics, rather than placing more attention on drillings and running.
