Ten Hag Proves Self Against Liverpool In FA Cup


Surely it can never be a boring atmosphere when Manchester United and Liverpool play. The 2 Red teams always want to work their socks off for their club and fans whenever they play each other.

It was no difference when Old-Trafford host Liverpool for the quarter final of the prestigious English cup in the shining sun atmosphere. With dignitaries packed in the Stadium, among who was Sir Alex Ferguson to watch United fiercest rival.




The match though much publicized, yet the prediction seem to be falling towards Liverpool. The Anfield side with Klopp managerial credential could be said to be far greater than his Dutch counterpart whose Job is under the scrutiny.

Erik inconsistent results and no match contest among the big teams has made his team very lean in the EPL table and easily playable at-times.


So, some probably watched the game yesterday as the match that will seal his fate at the end of the season. Well - it proved to be the opposite. Ten Hag team played the game that produced applause, tears of joy and unbelief among many supporters.

The game went to extra time which was already exhausting. Liverpool took the lead again, and then with the extra time going, Rahford who could have scored the winner in regular time got the equalizer in the 112 minute. And then the moment came in the 121 minute, when the game looked set for penalties, and then with Liverpool doing all they could to snatch the winner at the end through a corner, Amad snatched the ball from elliott when he was trying to launch another attack for Liverpool; and fortunately - Amad had Garnacho with him, and they both raced down with the ball from their side to Liverpool side and with just one defender on Liverpool side, Garnacho passed the ball back to Amad and the young Ivorian forward took a side shot that beat Liverpool keeper and the Stadium went ecstatic. The game finished 4-3.





Manchester United are through to the semi-final to meet Coventry city, while Manchester City face Chelsea. Both semi-finals will take place at Wembley Stadium on the weekend of 20-21 April. If United win and City win, it will be a rematch of last season FA Cup final which city won.
