It is important to note that not all high profile wedding ceremony
survive the test and challenges of life. Many started well but end up bad with
words like I wish I never met him or her. Many promises have failed and many
stories have turned to be lies. The fact that we can’t run from is that there
is no perfect relationship and there is no age level in marriage where either
the husband or the wife doesn’t faults each other on some issues. One thing is
certain, if you have chosen the right partner; there will be something about
each other that the couple will cherish and cannot be valued. Such is the case
of the couple that got married five years ago-they have everything going
normally as they wanted. The husband a nice guy with a good job and the wife,
adorable woman who just finished her youth service but does not see a reason to
seek employment and the husband does not have a problem with it. The issue
started when the needs at home required more funds and that just keep reducing
the money in the account of the husband. The wife pays for the fees of her
brother and the funds is coming from the husband- The husband pays the rent of
the apartment where the wife’s family is staying-The husband is also partly
responsible for the funds to develop the uncompleted building of the wife’s
family. The husband keep coping on until one day the husband came home late one
night and told the wife to dust out her certificate and look for job because he
cannot lay hold on any savings in his account and the wife out of annoyance
careless told the husband to look for extra job because it is his
responsibility to take care of her and her family. Since that day, the love
went cold. Trust men for who they are- he took the matter to his friend and
they told him to stop doing what he was doing for her (wife) family and that
will sink some sense into her wife and her family. The man did as he was told
and that cracked the love in the home. when the woman demanded an explanation
for reasons he stop supporting her family, the man said he has his own family
that need his own attention too. To worsen the matter the man moved to the
visitor’s room. As if that will only be for a month or two the husband turn
deaf ear to every plea of the wife to turn again to her family after 8month of
neglecting them and also to move back to their matrimonial room. The wife
angrily told the husband that if he fails to turn up as requested she will move
out and her husband harshly responded that he will cope very fine without her
as she can see herself. After more talk on the issue with both families of the
husband and the wife trying to solve the matter was not productive- the wife
was advised to leave and she did. The wife believed that the husband will come
begging immediately he realize she has moved out but that was not the case. The
split went on for six month. In the sixth month, the husband said he felt like
leaving the house and when asked why, he said the smell of the house has
changed and the house seems different to him. As situation will have it, as he
was packing few cloths to take on a short visit to a friend he wants to reside
with; he saw his wife marriage gown and his own suit by the side. On seeing this
he felt disturbed inside and started missing his wife with tears drops in his
eyes. That day he did not go to work nor embark on his planned visit to his
friend. As he looks more at the gown, memories of the wedding day and wedding
vows came fresh to him. When he was griped with the reality that he could have
handled the situation better he picked his phone send her a text message with
the words for better or worse, richer or poorer, in good health and bad I will
be yours- please forgive and come back home. The wife did not see the message
until the morning when she look at her phone and saw the message and she busted
into tears. It was her tears that moved her brother to her room and he called
the mother and she (wife) showed them the text message. Though the wife’s
family did not allow her to go; they told her not call or text him back until
the husband come begging. The wife could not take it again, so she text back
(her words) you break my heart but I belong to you. On seeing the reply after
waiting for hours, he picked a taxi cab to her family house but could not enter
for the fear of the unexpected. He sent her another text message (this time the
wife had her phone grip in her palms waiting for him) and the message reads: I
am outside the compound and the wife responded I will be with you. She rushed
out and meets with his husband that they last saw six month ago and according
to the wife the feeling she had for him before they got married came back to
her. The man went on his knees and said I have wronged you- please forgive me
and they both came together and hug for minutes. She took him inside and the
husband begged his in-law and after another meeting the next day between the
husband’s family and the wife’s family, the couple moved back together. Though
the wife later got a job, the husband took it upon himself to keep doing his
duty to his family and that of her wife’s family.
