Prof. Samuel Ndubuisi who is Director General of The Scientific Equipment Development Institute (SEDI), Enugu, was on Wednesday gruesomely assassinated in Enugu by unknown gunmen.
Ndubuisi’s driver reportedly sustained injuries and was taken to an undisclosed hospital for treatment. In the video below, it shows a policeman too was killed - believed to be his orderly officer attached to him.
Ndubuisi hailed from Mgbowo in the Awgu Local Government Area of the state.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Enugu State Command, Mr Daniel Ndukwe, confirmed the incident, although he added that information concerning the incident was still sketchy.
The PPRO, however, noted that the incident happened at about 1600hrs.
Ndukwe said: “Information surrounding a shooting incident today, 07/07/2021 at about 1600hrs, along Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway, said to have led to the death of a man and his police orderly is still sketchy.
“Meanwhile, the preliminary investigation has commenced. Further development will be duly communicated, please.”
