Rivers: Wike Insists On Fubara Not Returning For 2nd Term

F.C.T Minster Nyesom Wike, seems to be all out to make sure that Siminalayi Fubara does not get the second term ticket with the APC.

The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Ajibola Basiru, is insisting that the party will be supporting Fubara. He also made it clear that Wike can not decide what happens in APC because he's not a part of the party.

Wike Speaking when he visited the Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State on Sunday, the Minister said Fubara reneged on agreement twice, insisting that the mistake of 2023 will not be repeated.

He said that during his administration as Rivers State Governor, the state challenged the federal government on some issues and won, stating that the state was in charge during the last administration.

He said “I heard people saying that they will call me and give me instructions. Let me tell you, there is nothing like instruction as far as Rivers State is concerned. Nobody will call me.

“You had the first agreement, somebody reneged, second agreement, he reneged, then which call will you accept again? We will not make that mistake again.

“It has nothing to do with me as a person. As a minister of the Federal Capital Territory, I’m very comfortable.
