Manchester United, The Captaincy, The Manager

Post fergie and Manchester United started facing what is never in their DNA, loosing matches to teams that never dreamt of a draw with united.

David Moyes was sacked ! nice decision by the board. Then came a man who has almost the same pedigree with Sir Alex, LVG. He did a brilliant job, but then, the famous Portuguese became available, and united could not afford to loose him, and then Mourinho was hired.

He was a success, winning 3 trophies for the team. He was sacked 2 and half season.

Here comes the legend - winner of the much talked about champions league in 1999 against FC Bayern.

He came in as an interim manager which was not a bad idea, suddenly united won at parc de princes, and then encomium started falling in. Then interim became full time manager (Prove to be Bad Decision).

He was shown the way, which was inevitable. Spent more time than Jose and won nothing. Wasted Seasons. I wonder how you judge a successful manager if some consider Jose a disaster. Won 3 trophies and not a success to some, Ole had more time and probably spent more, no trophy ????

The major decision is now this, Manchester United seem to be going the write way now. At least a new manager is on the search. But, there is still an Ole error that needs to be corrected before the end of the season. Harry Maguire.

How can you hand over Harry as a CAPTAIN of the biggest club in the world. Is he the most experienced, the longest serving player, won most trophy, played better, played for one of the biggest club before coming to united, or an iconic figure or is it for the price tag which of course united were ripped off.

The decision of Ole Gunnar Solskjær to make harry the captain with no doubt is making that team unstable.

The captaincy of united has never come under any form of debate in recent history as this. Every former captain deserved it.

When Ole was still in charge, there was a discussion on the poor defense, and pundits were discussing who should partner harry, and Evra said why should it be who partner harry, why not harry dropped completely. Games later, what Evra said became so open and clear, not only should harry not be a starter, the captain arms band should be taken off him. (Anyway his performance that got him a red and united fell-apart against Watford was the last of the man that appointed him captain).

The match against Atletico Madrid was the worst. Rio Ferdinand at 43 will still be better composed. whenever the ball comes to harry at the back, there is this feeling he could mess it up. Very jittery on the ball!!. Micah Richards spoke on how fans were excited to see him off the pitch, even Paul Scholes could not hide his displeasure, and question why Ralf had to play him.

His former player at Hull said the same thing:

Elmohamady who played alongside Harry Maguire at Hull between 2014 and 2017 said: Harry was with me in Hull City and, in my opinion, he doesn't have the level to be the Manchester United captain.

Degea or some else should be handed the captain's arm-band. Degea is probably the longest serving player and also the most consistent. He (David de Gea) has also won The Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year a record 4 times!!!!.

On The Next Manager

The Next Manager should be giving to who has managed in the English Premiership. Managers who has crossed the boarders, who have won big titles. United without no doubt is the biggest club (Not Just about trophy). Man united should be going for the biggest managers in the world.

One of them is Conte, who is with Tottenham (Right there in London). Another is Carlo Ancelotti, who is with Real Madrid. The last is Mauricio Pochettino, who has is stock high in England. United should not go out of this list, and they should get Sir Alex involve to talk to any of them if the need be.

Manchester united should not hire any manager that will come and learn on the job - and then build their CV.
