The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited has again lower down fuel price for the second time in less than two weeks.
NNPCL’s latest petrol price reduction comes days after Dangote Refinery announced its fourth fuel rate cut to N1,075 per litre.
It was also reported that NIPCO, AA Rano and Ranoil filling stations have dropped their fuel prices.
The drop in both gantry and retail fuel prices comes as Brent and West Texas Intermediate crude oil prices fell to $72 and $68 per barrel .
Despite this drop, Nigerians are calling for the premium motor spirit pump price to come down to less than N1,000 per litre, to reflect what is seen globally as a major drop in the product price.
