Due to the inhumane jungle justice discharged by Okada riders on a sound engineer who set him ablaze around Admiralty Way - Lekki, and many more atrocities among some of these riders, the governor of Lagos State has placed Persona non grata to the Okada riders in 6 local government area(s) of the state.
Sanwo-Olu who was in company with his Deputy, Obafemi Hamzat, placed the total ban on Okada riders in Ikeja, Surulere, Eti-Osa, Mainland, Apapa, and Lagos Island local government areas.
At the meeting today, May 18, 2022, was also the Lagos state Commissioner of Police, DPOs and Area commanders.
The governor said the ban takes effect from June 1.
He said: this is the first phase of the banning his government will be embarking on, so that others know in a short while either they get out or look for something else to do.
