Man Utd Thrash Liverpool 4-0 as Erik ten Hag Reign Starts

4-0 against LIVERPOOL In Thailand: Goals from Jadon Sancho, Fred, Anthony Martial and Facundo Pellestri gave Erik ten Hag a winning start in pre-season as new boss.




New Manchester United boss,  Erik ten Hag got off to a winning start in the dugout against United fiercest rival - Liverpool, in Bangkok. He also had the opportunity to see his team play competitively for the first time.

First half goals from Jadon Sancho, Fred and Anthony Martial before substitute Facundo Pellestri added a fourth after the break propelled United to victory over Liverpool.



Manchester United fans who had a troubled season watched with much awe to see how the new boss have stamp his authority on a team that finished 6th and are well beaten by Liverpool in the League.

After a satisfactory performance, even though a pre-season friendly, the new boss said:


“Of course, we are satisfied because it was a team with great spirit, but we’ve just started ” said Erik ten Hag.

“Our team was brave and proactive. We made some mistakes with pressing but created a lot.”

“I know we have good players. Believe me I have seen a lot of mistakes, it will take a lot of time. We have not overestimated this result.”


“I think we have a lot of creativity and speed in front.”


Manchester united next match will be another pre-season friendly against Melbourne Victory FC.
