Ese Brume wins Long Jump gold for Nigeria & sets new record

Nigeria at it again at the commonwealth games, as Brume Shatters Record, and wins Nigeria's 12th Gold medal.

Long Jumper Ese Brume, broke the Commonwealth Games record to win Team Nigeria’s 12th gold medal at the ongoing event in Birmingham.


The Nigerian jumper leapt 7.00 metres to win gold and set a new Commonwealth Games Record.

She defeated Brooke BUSCHKUEHL of Australia, who jumped 6.95 metres to come second, while Ghana’s Deborah Acquah came third.


Brume is also the only athlete to win three consecutive Long Jump titles at the African Championships in Athletics as well as the first African to win two Long Jump medals at the World Athletics Championships.
