Manchester United defender Alex Telles joins Sevilla on loan for a season

Manchester United's Brazil defender Alex Telles will be joining La Liga side - Sevilla on a season-long loan.

The Brazil international has been at United since his 2019 transfer from FC Porto and he managed to make 22 starts last season.

Telles has been squeezed out at United after new boss Erik ten Hag signed left-back Tyrell Malacia from Feyenoord.

Sevilla will cover all of the 29-year-old's wages and are under no obligation to buy at the end of the loan deal.

The move should ensure Telles can play first-team football as he targets a World Cup place, having been recalled to the Brazil squad in January after a 14-month absence.

Telles confirm the loan deal by wishing his club and team mates well.

"To everyone at United: colleagues, staff, fans. I will be supporting and cheering you on all season. Thanks for the moments so far." ❤️ Alex Telles.
