Dr. Femi Olaleye Sentenced For Defiling Wife’s 15-Year-Old Niece

The D-Day came for the fate of Dr. Femi Olaleye in the case of rape reported against him with his wife's niece.

A Special Offences and Domestic Violence Court in Ikeja, Lagos State has sentenced the medical director of Optimal Cancer Care Foundation to life imprisonment for defiling his wife’s 15-year-old niece.

Dr. Femi was found guilty on Tuesday, of the offence of defilement and sexual penetration.

Justice Rahman Oshodi said all the evidence before the court corroborated that of the victim.

Dr. Femi was arraigned on two counts, which bordered on defilement and sexual assault by

 penetration of his wife’s niece.

The convict was arraigned on November 30, 2022, and he pleaded not guilty to the offences.

Director of Public Prosecutions Babajide Martins had told the court that Olaleye committed the offences sometime between February 2020 and November 2021.

He said the offence happened at No 17, Layi Ogunbambi Close, Maryland, Lagos.

The judge held that the evidence of the victim and that of the doctor who examined her were consistent.

He also stated that Olaleye’s confessional statement and exchange of WhatsApp and email messages with his wife were enough evidence against him.

Justice Oshodi also held that the statement and undertaking he wrote and signed alongside his lawyer, Olalekan Buruji with his NBA seal at Anthony Police Station, showed he raped the victim and forced her to suck his manhood.
