In the latest news to ADC, the supreme court has delivered a twist to the expectations of many observer, the Apex court has affirmed David Mark as the National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress, ADC.
The court gave the judgment on Thursday, to the joy of the David Mark's faction.
The court, in a unanimous decision by a five-member panel, headed by Justice Mohammed Lawal Garba, held that the Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal acted beyond its jurisdiction by unilaterally issuing an order after it had already dismissed a case that was brought before it by one of the factions.
The Supreme court on Thursday, held that the preservative order by the Court of Appeal was in bad faith, unnecessary, unwarranted and improper.
In a unanimous judgment of the Supreme Court, Justice Mohammed Lawal Garba held that the Court of Appeal ought not to have made such order, because it was not sought by any of the parties in the matter.
